exploratory research into psychic phenomena

Rupert Sheldrake, a recognized expert in the field of exploratory research into psychic phenomena, addresses the question of how well scientific research approaches the problem of answering the question of whether there is life after death. One of the key aspects of Rupert's video is the objective approach to analyzing what is essentially a qualitative question. Without invoking undue emotion, Sheldrake is able to illustrate both the weaknesses and strengths of a scientific approach to better understanding existence following death. Several difficult to answer questions are asked, and subsequently addressed in a clear, unobtrusive manner. How do we go about measuring what is essentially unmeasurable? Could it be that we simply do not yet have sufficient understanding of the natural mechanisms involved in death to detect post-death consciousness or activity? Sheldrake directly addresses questions like these and helps us understand some of the difficult science and technology has in objectively analyzing the afterlife.
